Hey, I’m Comm100. Yeah, I just had cosmetic surgery, but I’m still the same old Comm100 you know and love. Do you like my new look?

OK, here is the story; Comm100 has decided to use a new logo and is now updating its website, product interfaces, marketing/sales collaterals and all other Comm100-branded resources to match the new logo and color palettes. These changes will go live on July 28th. Make sure you can still recognize us after the new logo is online.

Design Concept of the New Logo

  1. Endless Bond. Comm100 links you to your customers, creating an endless bond. This bond is strongest at the interface; that’s where Comm100 sits. This echoes the underlying meaning of our brand name, Comm100 – 100% communication. We believe that effective customer communication is the cornerstone of success for your business.
  2. Business Blue. We use “blue” as our primary brand color, because it symbolizes “professionalism” or “business”. Blue best matches our current brand positioning and targeting of business users, especially the enterprise market. The shade of blue is neither too light nor too dark, which indicates that we are neither too young nor too old. We have the industry experience you can rely on; but, we also have the vigor and passion needed to embrace change and improve every day.
  3. Simple & Clean. We use a very simple and clean font for the “Comm100” text because of our belief in “less is more”. We strive to make our products just like the logo – simple, yet beautiful. In turn, our products make customer communication simple and effective for your business.

Changes to Website and Product UI

We have given our website a complete overhaul to match the new logo and color palettes. For the product UI, we will only replace the logo and change the highlight color. Please view the sample screenshots below to get a quick preview.

  1. Website: Totally new design. Simple and clean.
  2. Control Panel: New logo as well as new button and link colors.
  3. Operator Chat Console: New logo as well as new button and link colors.
  4. Mobile App: Take our iPhone app for example; it has the new logo and the new button and link colors.

Why Change? The Background Story

It was not an easy decision. A brand-new logo can mean a big loss of the brand recognition we’ve built up over the years. “Why take the risk?”, you may ask. Well, because we really want you to enjoy your experience with Comm100, and we believe a modern and intuitive UI is an important part of that experience.

Although we’ve continued to improve our UI, we still hear from some customers that our UI is old-fashioned and not in line with modern design trends. Changing the logo and color palettes are our first steps in creating a modern, more refreshing UI. Additionally, you will find that we have totally redesigned our website to cater to today’s more sophisticated user preferences. In the future, we will embrace more modern UI design/development trends and technologies to make using our products even more intuitive and enjoyable.

It has taken us several long months to nail down the new logo and color palettes, and we’ve gone through a lot of variations and dozens of review sessions to tweak the shape, color and font to ensure the logo is just right. We know changing our logo is no small thing, and we want to make sure it’s both something you recognize and a design that impacts you positively.
