Switch Comm100 Live Chat Agent Console from Flash to HTML5

One significant event that has happened recently on the internet is that main browsers, including Chrome and Firefox, are stopping their full support for Flash. To respond to this change, we are moving to switch Comm100 Live Chat Agent Console from Flash to HTML5.

HTML5 is the latest version of HTML and is widely accepted as the best HTML standard so far. The benefits of HTML5 include:

  • Easy integration into websites without using a plug-in
  • Substantial support for mobile devices
  • Superior graphics capabilities

What’s New in Our HTML5 Version

  1. Features

    The HTML5 version has the exact same features as the Flash version so you don’t need to worry about losing any of the features you love.

  2. Design

    Apart from the technology itself, the major change in this switch lies in the interface design. Our HTML5 version features a more user-friendly interface that delivers a better user experience.

  3. Smoothness

    HTML5 is known for its fast processing speed. This means that you can have a smoother experience in the HTML5 version than in Flash.

How to Experience Our HTML5 Version

To ensure the smooth transition from Flash to HTML5, we will release a beta test version and collect feedback in the coming weeks.

When the beta version is released, you will automatically be switched to the HTML5 version after logging into the web version of Comm100 Live Chat Agent Console. If your browser is out-of-date, we may not be able to make the switch successfully. If that is the case, you need to perform a manual upgrade to your browser, or use the latest Chrome, Firefox or IE.

During the beta testing phase, the Flash and HTML5 versions of the Agent Console will operate in parallel in Comm100. This means you can switch between the two versions seamlessly anytime, and the settings and data in one version will automatically be synchronized to the other.
