What has been changed in the new design upgrades of Com100 Live Chat (September 2018)?

We are dedicated to providing the best possible experience for our live chat users. As of September 2018, we have upgraded the design of our chat window and chat Invitations for our cloud server clients– helping you to better engage your customers and provide a more intuitive chat experience for your website visitors.

This article introduces all the changes made to our live chat interface.

  1. Repositioning of Operation Icons in the Chat Window

    The buttons for Rating chat, Sending Transcripts, Printing, and Popup have now been grouped in the top right corner of the Chat Window. To find these options, you can simply hover over the three horizontal dots in the top right corner and select the option you need.

  2. New Minimize Button for the Chat Window

    When the Adaptive Chat Button and Embedded Chat Window is being used, you can find a button in the bottom right of the chat window that will minimize or restore the window on desktop. For non-adaptive chat buttons, or the mobile chat window, the minimize button will stay in the top right of the chat window.

  3. Different Look for the Minimized Embedded Chat Window

    The minimized Embedded Chat Window now looks different based on your Chat Button types. If a visitor starts a chat from a campaign which is using an Adaptive Chat Button with an Embedded Chat Window, the minimized chat window will display the number of new messages they have received. For Image or Text Link chat button types, the minimized chat window will appear as a horizontal bar and indicate the number of new messages they have received.

  4. New Bubble Invitation Style

    The new Bubble Invitation style displays agent avatars and the invitation message background has the same color scheme as the chat window.

  5. Write a Quick Reply without Opening the Chat Window

    If your visitor is chatting from a live chat campaign and clicks an Adaptive Chat Button or if a visitor receives the Manual Invitation using the new Bubble type, they can write a reply in text area without opening the chat window.

  6. Changes in the Message Typing Area

    The icons for Attachment, Audio Chat, Video Chat were previously located along the bottom bar of the chat window, they have now moved to the message typing area. For the mobile chat window, these icons will show up after you click the + button.

  7. New Style for the Popup Dialog Box in the Chat Window

    We have changed the small Popup styles for Rating, email Transcript and Close Chat Window. This new dialog box look allows you to not lose track of the operation you would like to perform.

  8. New Style for Error Messages

    We have new style for the error message displayed in the chat window when an unexpected condition or wrong operation occurs. This new error message better matches the design of our new chat window.

  9. Changes for Chat Window Color and Banner Image Selections

    We have added two new preset colors for our chat window. More colors means it is easier to make the chat window consistent with your brand image.

    Some outdated Banner Images have been removed from the Gallery. If you are still using the old ones, they will continue to function. But once you change them, they will not be available for future selection. Of course, you can design and upload your own banner images.
