Comm100 Knowledge Base 3.0 (Oct. 24, 2011)

  1. Added integration options with other Comm100 modules
    • Added integration with Comm100 Help Desk
      The integration with Comm100 Help Desk helps your users raise their own requests if they don't get the solutions from your Knowledge Base. They can also track the statuses of their requests and keep informed about announcements and news in your Comm100 Help Desk.
  2. Improved usability of the search function. Full-text search is supported in Comm100 Knowledge Base 3.0.
  3. Added permission settings which allow you to customize Knowledge Base permissions for each operator.
  4. Added Page Style Settings which allows you to customize the CSS styles of your knowledge base.
  5. Added Article Export in Text/CSV format.
  6. Added a new type of knowledge base code with which your knowledge base displays as a search box on your website. Your clients can enter keywords in the search box and find answers in your knowledge base.
  7. Added Labels so that you can attach labels to your articles, which helps you categorize and locate articles.
  8. Added an option to limit the visit permission to log-in users only.
  9. Added Suggested Article which allows you to collect possible knowledge base topics from other Comm100 modules, such as Comm100 Live Chat, Comm100 Forum and Comm100 Ticket.
  10. Added Article Template which allows you to save templates for frequent use.
  11. Added Feedback Moderation which allows you to moderate clients' feedback before their comments are published.
  12. Added feedback viewing permission which allows you to define who can view the feedback about your knowledge base articles.
  13. Added option for you to select and delete feedback.
  14. Added Reports which help you identify areas that need improvements.
  15. Added Audit Log which allows you to view the performed activities of your operators in your Comm100 Knowledge Base.
  16. Improved usability of emailing an article.
  17. Improved usability of the built-in HTML WYSIWYG editor.
  18. Other minor fixes and tweaks.

Comm100 Knowledge Base 2.0.1 (Nov 28, 2010)

  1. Improved user friendliness of WYSIWYG HTML Editor, which makes it easier for you to edit articles and insert images.
  2. Fixed the session crossing bug which causes operators unable to visit a knowledge base under another Comm100 site account (a different Site Id).

    This happens when someone has already logged into a Comm100 site account and meanwhile tries to browse the forum posts or knowledge base articles under another Comm100 site account (a different Site Id), he/she will come across the Runtime Error issue.

  3. Fixed the bug that certain style rules (such as line height, font weight, etc.) in an article will be changed after this article is saved.
  4. Fixed the bug that under certain situations, Verification Code (CAPTCHA) does not work on the Login page.
  5. Fixed the bug that a draft article will get lost if users don't select a category for this draft article before clicking Save.
  6. Other minor bug fixes and tweaks.

Comm100 Knowledge Base 2.0 (Jun 6, 2010)

  1. Added access control to define who can visit the knowledge base. Three options are provided: Public, Operator Only and Closed.
  2. Added permission definition to grant the permissions to each operator, including Manage Site Settings, Manage Categories, Manage Articles, Permanently Delete Categories/Articles and Mange Operator Permissions.
  3. Added feedback setting to define who are allowed to leave feedback in the knowledge base. Three options are provided: All Visitors, Operators Only and Nobody.
  4. Added the feature to type meta keywords and meta descriptions for the whole knowledge base.
  5. Added image management.
  6. Enable to use Picture Link when deployed onto websites.
  7. Added more templates.

Comm100 Knowledge Base 1.1 (Jan 17, 2010)

  1. Operator has the permission to use and maintain Knowledge Base.
  2. The draft article and category can be edited and deleted.
  3. The email information of a visitor who has commented on a certain post can be viewed.
